Finally we have now got our Animatic of the trailer, this took some time and full credit goes too Ryan Fulton for creating this in Sony Vegas, as you can see this fits well with our music choice and should work well for our actual media piece, this will be what will hopfully pan out well in the end.

During the lesson we have finished finding out what we will be doing, we have finally completed our storyboards, moodboards, and have been looking into the MAC software i've found out theres quite alot of resources on the MAC for our group to use, as there is many more things we can create for example our songs could be created via the Garage Band, this is a good piece of software as it has sound effects we may need in future reference.
There is also a more advanced editing piece of software called final cut express which will allow us to have a better cut then the past media piece this will benefit us alot because we will have improved in the software, looking at the MAC's allowed me to see how much potential they really do have.
The main priority now is to complete any work that is not finished properly for the next week this should be quite straight forward.

These are my completed story boards, as you can see we have the outline of out story so far which would be our guidline for when we start filming we will then be trying to make sure that we try and stick to it the best we can but the best thing is that they can be edited and tweaked to fit the trailer.

Moodboard Completed
This is the final moodboard that we have completed, as you can see we have began to show a devide between the two, Happiness would be the childs side all the good memories that have happened, where as the bad side would be symbolising the childs cancer that they have been diagnosed with, this is a basic out line of good vs evil, which would go well with our trailer, this was created by Ryan Fulton in fireworks, with help from the rest of us, this was something that was different rather then have it done on paper, using the computers to our advantage.

Technical Code Analysis
With out media piece there will most likely be alot of different technical codes to express our media piece;
The camera angles will be able to express the point of view and relation ship between two different people and the environment they have been placed in, it depends on how the angle is it could have an emotional meaning example of this would be if the camera was directly overhead it can give a god like feeling to the viewer.
The frequency and number of cuts this would be whether they are a type of genre ours will have to have a fair amount of cuts because its a Drama, these will not be as short and quick as a Horror teaser trailer would be.
Lighting intensity will most likely be bright in the happy parts and the light will gradually go down and fade partly dark giving a sense of sadness.
Sound effects are not going to be placed alot we only will have a few relevant sound effects for certain parts an example would be the hospital it will need a 'beep' for the life support machine.

The film title we have selected was 'Mad world' which would be a play on title and will relate to the soundtrack we have chosen, the backing music. The reason we have selected this title because we want to get across how mad the world really is once you've been diagnosed with a serious illness.
Our film decisions have been moving from various different ideas on what would best fit our piece as its going to be a 'Drama' with quite a serious story line which some people would be able to relate to upsetting news because it involves a serious illness.
The soundtrack we would like to have playing throughout the trailer would be, 'mad world' how ever we won't be getting the official song we will only need the piano backing music to the song. Which we can use our own school resources and see if a music student or teacher will help us with this.
The sound effects that we will be needing for our performance will mainly be either hospital sounds this would be a life support machine 'beep'because of the location, how ever we are undecided on any other sound effects because we want to get the recording completed first.
The costumes will vary between different types, we will have a basic outfit that a child would wear, the reason being for the scenes out of hospital, how ever whilst in the hospital there will be a night gown to be worn which will set the mood of the illness, and the sense of innocence to the child for the trailer.

To begin with the main thing was to try and figure out what genre we would be aiming toward with our trailer, by trying to do each task set we gradually got closer and closer until we finially chose to do a 'Drama'.
We have reccently completed the treatment which has previously been uploaded, also the storyboards and moodboard how ever these are yet to be added to the blog, once we have the pictures on the blog we will then be able to write them in detail.
The next task for a media piece would to find out where the location should be, this has to be perfect to the media piece other wise there will be problems, as our 'Drama' is to do with a serious illness we are considering a hospital location.
